Different year but yet will are still fighting for equality in many areas. As a Black woman I build others dreams, working majority of the day on someone else's project. I aspire to inspire but can't get out of this corporate box of feelings which have kept me in bondage. In 1970's I watch my grandmother clean up the community. No one had to ask her to pick up litter. Often times the kids would laugh at her sweeping sidewalks and raking the grass in the projects. She was not the head of any organization but was always doing something for the community. She followed Gods orders without fail. One of my fondest memory is around Christmas she would host a community gathering in her small apartment. All the children would sit around the piano, listen to Bible stories, sing songs, admired the baby in the manger and 3 wise men. Little did I know she was planting a seeds. Thanks grandma...I will carry your torch. Im a self made environmentalist. I know you are looking down from Heaven. These tears are a reminder of your goodness, your love and your Kindness. I want dedicate my efforts to Lillie I. Stribling, I will continue the fight. Love you always.
